Continuous Improvement and Sustainability Leader - Gatwick Airport. Education: Kingston Polytechnic Longmead County Secondary School A construction professional with over 30 years' practical experience in the construction and civil engineering industry. He has worked for Contractor, Consultant and Client Organisations in Education, Retail, transport, Pharmaceutical and MOD, focussing recently on product development, offsite manufacture, sustainable development and continuous improvement. His career in the aviation sector started in April 1998, on major projects across the south east airports promoting sustainability, offsite assembly, standardisation, product solutions and the use of manufacturing techniques. From February 2009 Doug has worked at Gatwick Airport, where he is currently seconded into the Airports Commission team which aims to win Gatwick a second runway, as Construction and Utilities Integration Manager. Doug is also currently Chair of the CIRIA Council and the National Infrastructure Client Leadership Group.
